Garden party |

Dear all, Myself and PCSO Sims were invited to join clients at the Avelon Road Centre’s Summer Garden Party. The event was a great success, with a singer providing entertainment and guide dogs attending with two young puppies and a young German Shepherd, giving everyone the opportunity to meet and interact with them. Refreshments were provided, and it was lovely to see everyone up dancing and singing in such a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Attending events like this is incredibly important, as it allows us to engage directly with members of the community, including adults with learning difficulties, in a relaxed and inclusive setting. These interactions help to build trust, break down barriers, and promote positive relationships with local policing teams. It also provides reassurance, encourages open communication, and ensures that everyone feels valued, heard, and supported. Engaging with all members of the community, particularly those who may be more vulnerable, helps us better understand their needs and ensures that we deliver a service that is approachable, accessible, and responsive to everyone. Kind regards,
